CANADA DENTAL CARE PLAN

At West Georgia Dental Centre, we proudly accept Canada Dental Care Plan (CDCP).

The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is designed to reduce financial obstacles to oral health care for qualifying Canadian residents. This program offers a wide array of dental services, such as regular check-ups, cleanings, and preventive care.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for Canada Dental Care Plan (CDCP), you must meet the following eligibility requiremnts.

  • You don’t have access to dental insurance
  • You must have filed your tax returns in Canada so that your family income can be assessed for the previous year
  • Your adjusted family net income is less than $90,000
  • You’re a Canadian resident for tax purposes

Services covered

 

The CDCP may cover a variety of dental services, with some becoming available starting in fall 2024. These services include:

  • Preventive care: Scaling (cleaning), polishing, sealants, and fluoride treatments.
  • Diagnostic services: Examinations and X-rays.
  • Restorative treatments: Fillings.
  • Endodontic procedures: Root canal treatments.
  • Prosthodontic care: Complete and partial removable dentures.
  • Periodontal treatments: Deep scaling.
  • Oral surgery: Extractions.

How much will be covered

 

The CDCP will cover a portion of your treatment costs but may not cover the full amount. You may need to pay additional fees directly to your oral health provider if:

  • Your adjusted family net income is between $70,000 and $89,999.
  • The cost of your oral health care services exceeds the reimbursement limits set by the CDCP.
  • You and your oral health provider agree to treatments not covered under the CDCP.
